A Panel on Energy, the Environment and Endowment Investing

On campuses nationwide, an intense debate has broken out as to whether universities should invest their endowments in a more socially responsible manner by divesting from fossil fuel companies.  Institutions with large endowments like Princeton are under particular pressure to lead by example.  Some of the relevant questions include:

  • What do we mean by divestment?
  • Would divesting have the desired impact?
  • How might divestment affect the endowment?
  • What alternatives exist?

PANYC invites you to a panel discussion among leading thinkers about climate policy, energy, and the future of endowment investing moderated by Princeton University Trustee Carl Ferenbach III '64
